Ships: one gallon trade size container

This item cannot be shipped into the west coast states of WA, OR, CA, AZ or outside the continental U.S. due to the delicate roots which cannot handle being bare rooted. Please check as Greenwood may offer a larger size, a comparable item or a bare root version with a stronger root system.

Dixie Wood Fern, dryopteris x australis, is a hardy semi-evergreen fern with a slender vase shape at maturity. Dixie Wood Fern can grow to 5' tall and should be spaced 3' apart. Dixie Wood Fern will grow in zones 5-9. Dixie Wood Fern grows best in moist, rich, well drained soil and is best planted in light to full shade.

Dixie Wood Fern is great for containers, pathways and woodland areas.
